Christmas at The Green

Posted by cornwallcare on January 3, 2018

The festivities started early morning with Santa and the home manager going around delivering presents to all the residents.

The presents were personally picked and wrapped by the carers that help look after the residents. Lunch was prepared with loving care by our kitchen staff. We had a full Christmas turkey lunch with all the trimmings followed by a choice from the sweet trolley or traditional Christmas pudding.

We had a drinks trolley that was filled with festive drinks, sherry, port, wine, Babysham, Advocaat (an old fashioned drink enjoyed by the older generation) beers, lagers and of course soft drinks for those that didn’t want alcohol.

The afternoon was busy as usual with families popping in to see their loved ones. Later on there was a Christmas buffet with tea and chocolates for those who still had room in their tummies for more food!

All in all, a successful day which will be talked about for weeks to come.
