Santas on a Bike charity fundraiser

Posted by cornwallcare on July 13, 2017

Malcolm Strange - who is one of our electricians at Cornwall Care - is helping to co-ordinate the street collections for the 13th annual charity fundraiser ‘Santas on a Bike’ ride for Children’s Hospice South West.

The event takes place on 2nd December 2017 and starts at Lee Mill
in Plymouth from 11am and ends up in St Austell in Cornwall at approximately 2.30pm. All bikes, scooters and trikes are welcome.
The route goes through Ivybridge, Saltash and Liskeard.

The ride is free to attend and any donations will go to the hospice at Little Harbour in St Austell. Santa suits are available to buy at the ride start point in Lee Mill. Street collections are taking place in Ivybridge, Saltash and Liskeard.

If you would like to donate to this worthy cause, go to the Just Giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/jerryrogers or text SOAB66 £5 to 70070.

Last year approximately 130 bikes rode from Lee Mill and arrived at the hospice in St Austell around mid-afternoon. The generous donations amounted to around £2,800 which is a fantastic amount that we hope to better this year.

About Children’s Hospice South West

At Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) we are absolutely committed to making the most of short and precious lives. The care offered at each of our hospices is not simply about medical and nursing care for sick children, but about enriching the lives of children and their families. Families talk about the 'treasure chest' of precious memories they build to carry into the future... a future which will, sadly, be without their much loved child or children.
