Trevarna is a 53 bed residential nursing home for people in need of dementia or nursing support. We care for our residents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in a supportive, dignified and loving environment. Our staff promote independence and understand different illnesses. They are highly trained and passionate about their roles and the lives of our residents. Our lovely home sits in the bustling town of St Austell and visitors are always welcome.
At Trevarna we care for people who need residential, dementia and nursing support. Our team of carers and nurses work closely with our residents and their loved ones, to make sure that they always have the help and resources they need to live a full and happy life. We have great links with the local community and have a great team of carers that are passionate about the work they do.
When residents join us at Trevarna, the first thing that we do is develop a comprehensive care plan with them, setting out the care we aim to provide and how we will achieve this. We assess this plan on a continual basis, working with the resident to ensure that their needs are met. Care is available for our residents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Visitors are always welcome.
Trevarna is set in the bustling town of St Austell, within walking distance from the train station, town amenities and a short drive away from the popular tourist attraction, the Eden Project. Trevarna is a single-storey building spread over five wings. Each has its own lounge, dining area and kitchen, with day rooms that are spacious and bright. There are lovely views over our gorgeous garden areas and the home is a hive of activity with lots of great hobbies and events to enjoy.
Our home is relaxed and comfortable with a vibrant nature. Trevarna is one of several care homes owned and operated by Cornwall Care, a not-for-profit charity and the largest provider of care homes in the county. Cornwall Care has a reputation for genuine and loving care for residents and we at Trevarna are proud to share that. Our aim at Trevarna is to provide the very best care possible in a supportive, dignified and loving environment, supporting our residents’ individual needs.
Individuality and activity are important to us; at Trevarna we regularly enjoy visits from different entertainers, choirs and activity groups, taking suggestions from our residents, and we like to get out in our lovely mature gardens and courtyards as often as we can. Visitors are always welcome to enjoy our warm and comfortable atmosphere at Trevarna. We like to meet new people and regularly have students from local schools and colleges joining us for work experience.
Each week, our Activities Co-ordinator will arrange a list of activities, working with residents to choose activities that interest them, and loved ones are welcome to join in. If you are interested in finding out more or would like to get involved, please get in touch with our team at Trevarna.
At Cornwall Care we ensure that our staff are supported. We know how important it is to understand our residents and their illnesses, particularly dementia and mental health, which can often be misunderstood, so we make sure that all our staff are trained in dementia care and ethics.
We are nationally recommended and awarded for our training and career development. Our aim as a team is to provide loving support for all our residents, promoting awareness, safety and most important of all, individuality.
We appreciate that choosing the right home can be difficult. If you would like to find out more about Trevarna please contact us. We can provide you with the information you need or arrange for you to meet the Home Manager in person.
