Charity Bike Ride for Blackwood

Everyone had a wonderful time at Blackwood’s Charity Bike Ride last month, where staff and relatives joined together to raise money for our residents.

We had a lovely group of people cycling the Camel Trail for our residents this year, raising money for our residents’ Comforts Fund at Blackwood.

Our Comforts Fund (a.k.a. Amenities Fund) pays for things like entertainment, activities, decorations and gifts for our care and nursing home residents. Each of our homes have their own fund, raising money for their residents throughout the year with different fundraisers and events. Blackwood are keen fundraisers; this bike ride is just one example.

Overall, the team at Blackwood cycled 11 miles (from Wadebridge to Padstow) raising a total of £127 for Blackwood’s Comforts Fund. The younger ones did especially well. It was a very enjoyable day.
