Christmas at Redannick

Christmas at Redannick

Posted by admin on January 2,2018

There was a hive of activity going on at Redannick over Christmas with plenty of entertainment, lots of fun and lots of laughter.

We had visits from The Mayor and the Dean of Truro. The Mayor normally stays for about 15 minutes or so but this time he stayed to watch our Mother Goose pantomime because he had never seen a pantomime before. The atmosphere was awesome.

The Dean of Truro switched on our Christmas lights and many people, friends and businesses donated trees, decorations and lights. We give thanks to all that gave donations. This Christmas has been very memorable; Santa visited every resident and gave each of them a gift. The residents had their Christmas meal in the main lounge and all the tables were put together to allow for a wonderful festive banquet meal. It was absolutely wonderful.

Amanda Bilkey was this year’s entertainer at our Christmas party. What was so heartwarming was the fact that you could hear the singing before you even entered the building! Amanda stayed afterwards so she could talk to the residents and get to know them better. This was a special moment for the residents, they really appreciated Amanda chatting to them.

We were also so proud to hear people say such lovely, kind words about Redannick and its staff – it was emotional.

Thank you to everyone who donated or helped us during this busy period, we are immensely appreciative.
