Public Protection Cornwall (PPC) has a wide range of enforcement responsibilities, one of which is the National Food Hygiene Rating Scheme (NFHRS). The scheme runs in partnership with the Food Standards Agency (FSA) and is a national scheme, providing consumers with an easy to understand single scheme across the UK.
Local food businesses receive inspections to ensure that all food handled and prepared is safe to eat; they look at food hygiene, structure and cleanliness, as well as confidence in management. The award of a five star rating means consumers can be confident that high standards are being consistently maintained.
We are delighted to celebrate the five star rating we have received at The Green.
The 'Business Regulatory Support' Facebook page congratulated the team following their inspection, posting "Great work from the kitchen team; Claire Baylis, Justin Priestley and Ellen Dean of Cornwall Care Ltd's The Green Care Home in Drump Road, Redruth. The business was awarded the best score possible, and a 5 star Food Hygiene Rating Scheme certificate was presented by our officer Brian at their recent food hygiene inspection. Well done, from Brian and all the food team."
