Cornwall Care Celebrates Easter

Redannick Easter Bonnets (800w) 4.jpgOur residents had a brilliant time last week celebrating Easter.

At Redannick, our residential home in Truro, residents got stuck into an Easter bonnet making competition, enjoyed a raffle and ate lots of chocolate. Rita Cope, resident at Redannick, was delighted to win the Best Bonnet medal.

Residents of Mountford, our nursing home in Truro, also enjoyed lots of chocolate. The ‘Easter Bunnies’ came to visit them, delivering an abundance of smiles and chocolate eggs.

Over in Launceston, residents of Cedar Grange got involved in an Easter Egg Hunt, with friends and family joining the fun. There was also a ‘pin the tail on the rabbit’ game that afternoon to enjoy, as well as an egg drawing competition.

“All the children had great fun and the residents enjoyed seeing the children out and about in the garden.”
April Benning, Customer Relations Administrator at Cedar Grange

At Cornwall Care we believe it is important to celebrate seasonal and special occasions.

We do our best to provide daily entertainment and activities for our residents because we think staying active and entertained is vital for living a good life. Getting involved in competitions and egg hunts are a great way of engaging residents and a wonderful opportunity to invite in loved ones to join the fun.

Everyone had a fantastic time celebrating Easter this year and we look forward to further events like this throughout the coming months.

As Cornwall Care celebrates its 21st birthday of being an independent charity this year, we plan to have lots more celebrations with our residents and staff members!
