Cornwall Care Outstanding Staff Awards 2016
Posted by admin on April 6,2016With our 20th Anniversary celebrations this year, we decided that an awards ceremony – celebrating all our staff training and fantastic care achievements – would be the perfect way of thanking our staff for their incredible dedication to care.
When we put out the call that ‘nominations were open’ we were absolutely delighted at the response – so many of you got involved and had a think about who you thought was special – and overall we received a fantastic 130 nominations!
We also had some really great judges/ speakers throughout the event, including Paul Robottom (the National Advisor for Health and Social Care, City and Guilds) who presented our training and apprenticeship certificates, Helen Opie (ILM Management and Leadership tutor), Toni Drew (Truro and Penwith College), Duncan McAusland and Tony Wright (Cornwall College Business) as well two of our Board members, Geraldine Lavey and Phillip Rees. Robert Black, CEO of Cornwall Care, and Alan Stanhope, Chair of Cornwall Care, led the event. We cannot thank them all enough.

It is so lovely to hear these great stories about our staff going out of their way to create happiness and wellbeing wherever they go. We are incredibly proud as an organisation to have such fantastic high achievers with such hearts of gold.
Everyone who attended the awards had a great time and many of us continued to celebrate well after the awards were done! It was fantastic to reward and recognise the achievements of our amazing staff and we’re so proud to have so many hard-working and caring people working with us to support the people of Cornwall. All weathers, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
We would like to congratulate everyone who was nominated – and thank them for all they do – and to say a massive thank you to everyone who made this possible.
We are delighted at the success of our first-ever Cornwall Care Outstanding Staff Awards and are happy to announce that we will be making this an annual event!
