Our training presentation is an official event that celebrates the qualifications and professional development of care and management staff at Cornwall Care.
It was a sunny Saturday at Truro High School and the afternoon started with tea, coffee and some delicious cakes provided by Picnic Cornwall.
Local comedian ‘Kernow King’ compered the presentation, introducing Robert Black, Chief Executive Officer and Geraldine Lavery, Non-Executive Director, of Cornwall Care, as well as David Losasso, Lecturer at Falmouth University, to talk about the benefits and importance of professional development.
Staff were individually invited to the stage by ‘Kernow King’ to receive their Cornwall Care training certificates and goodie bags from Robert Black and Geraldine Lavery, who offered their personal congratulations and thanks for their hard work and accomplishments.
The presentation concluded with a staff party in the evening, celebrating our 21st birthday.
Staff who received their training qualifications earlier in the day received congratulations once again and entertainment was provided for everyone to enjoy.
Local band ‘Sandy Acre 7’ performed a great set, followed by a disco provided by ‘DJ in Cornwall’. We had a fantastic time celebrating and dancing together. ‘The Old Stable Company’ provided food; a wonderful hog-roast and Thai fritters for the vegetarians.
The atmosphere was bright and it was a lovely day for all who attended.
Cornwall Care will be rewarding staff with more events across Cornwall, throughout the year, celebrating our 21st birthday and our charitable accomplishments.
