Cornwall Care's Donation to Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust

Posted by admin on December 19,2016

Employees are at the heart of the services Cornwall Care provide. Taking part in the Sunday Times Best Companies Survey gives our employees the opportunity to have their say.

For the past two years a commitment has been made to donate £1 to a chosen charity, for each survey that has been completed by a member of staff.

This year Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust was elected as our charity of choice.

Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust flies more than 700 lifesaving missions each year throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. It takes on average, 12 minutes to arrive on-scene on mainland Cornwall and takes about 30 minutes for the Isles of Scilly. They treat individuals on-scene or transport them to hospital, whatever treatment is needed - whether it be in Cornwall or hospitals throughout the UK.

Flying patients to hospital can save not only hours of travel time, but lives.

Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust is a vital charity for the county and for the people who visit Cornwall. They have saved countless lives and provide a service that would otherwise be unavailable.

Cornwall Care is proud to support Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust and is delighted to have raised £447 for the charity.

“Thank you so much for choosing to support Cornwall Air Ambulance. As we receive no government funding towards our rescue missions, the support of the community really does make a difference. It ensures that we can continue to attend lifesaving missions in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.”

Hayley Cayton, Fundraising Officer for Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust

As a fellow charity, Cornwall Care appreciate the support of fundraising and the benefits public support gives.

“We are committed to supporting charities and fundraising events. There are many benefits of fundraising, and we are delighted to present Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust with the money we have raised through our employee engagement.”
