Eden Project’s generous donation

Cornwall Care would like to thank The Eden Project for their kind and generous donation of 10 tickets for the 100th Eden Sessions show on Sunday, 23 June 2019.

In order to ensure the offer reached a good cross-section of our staff, we used a number generator to replicate the number of our employees and then held a draw to determine which 5 lucky employees would win the pairs of tickets (with an extra 5 drawn in reserve).

Everyone we contacted was pleased to be offered the tickets and, whether they were able to attend or not, thought it was an amazing gift which made them feel valued.  It generated tickets for a diverse range of staff, with varying income levels, which included a Cook, a Nurse, Healthcare Assistants, an Administrator, a Community Carer and a Learning & Development Trainer.

The actual winners who went to the sessions were:
-       Lesley – an HCA3 from The Green
-       Rebecca – a Senior Nurse from Trevarna
-       Vanessa – a Community Care Assistant, Home Care, Truro
-       Sian – an HCA1 from Blackwood
-       Sarah – L & D Trainer

Lesley was really thrilled to attend her first ever concert which she thoroughly enjoyed. Nile Rodgers definitely has a new fan. Thank you so much to Cornwall Care and Eden for the opportunity for our Lesley.

I cannot overstate the impact this generous gift has had on my team, not only to those that were the lucky recipients, but to all those who have come into contact with them and seen their photos and heard their stories.

Cornwall Care values the opportunity to work alongside local businesses such as yourselves and we hope our working relationship continues to grow in the future.

Opposite is Lesley who was overjoyed
to go to her first gig!
