Wedding anniversary celebrations at The Green

Last week we had a great time celebrating the anniversary of Dawn and Robbie Sharp who have been married for 50 years!

Dawn lives with us here at The Green and Robbie visits on a regular basis. Our kitchen team made the lovely cake and provided the buffet. We decorated our coffee shop with banners, balloons, confetti, flowers and photos of the happy couple on their wedding day.

Music from the year they married - 1969 - was played including the song that was number 1 that year. We also researched a trivia quiz about 1969.

Dawn and Robbie were joined by 12 of their friends for their buffet lunch and party, one of whom entertained us with his ukulele skills.

In the evening Dawn and Robbie went out for a meal to continue their celebrations. We all had a fabulous time and wish the happy couple many more years of married bliss.
