Lizard Stallions visit Trewartha

We had a delightful time at Trewartha recently, where the Lizard Stallions Pony group entertained our residents.

Both staff and residents at Trewartha had a wonderful time meeting the pony and Phoebe, the Lizard Stallions’ little Jack Russell puppy. The pony and puppy were a joy to have around and they even visited some of our clients in their bedrooms that wanted to see but were too poorly to come out.

The Lizard Stallions group is one of our favourite visitors to our homes – our residents just love to meet the ponies, walk them round and touch them. We find these sessions ever so relaxing and happy. For residents that are grappling with memory loss, pet therapy can also be very reassuring and can sometimes even help them to access memories from their childhood or past.
