Mountford receive 5 star food rating again

Well done to Gennette and her team at Mountford. You have achieved 5 stars for our food hygiene standards from PPC.

We are delighted to say that our kitchen staff at Mountford, our nursing home in Truro, have been awarded 5 stars again.

Public Protection Cornwall (PPC) has a wide range of enforcement responsibilities, one of which is the National Food Hygiene Rating Scheme (NFHRS). The scheme runs in partnership with the Food Standards Agency (FSA) and is a national scheme, providing consumers with an easy to understand single scheme across the UK.

Local food businesses receive inspections to ensure that all food handled and prepared is safe to eat; they look at food hygiene, structure and cleanliness, as well as confidence in management. The award of a five star rating means consumers can be confident that high standards are being consistently maintained.
