My Moments Award - Karen Best

My Moments is one of the ways we recognise and reward the teams and individuals who have gone to extraordinary lengths to make a difference in someone's life, to the care sector or to our services.
Whether it is a member of staff, a resident, or one of their loved ones, My Moments celebrates the people that make Cornwall Care so special.
We were delighted to present Karen Best with a My Moments Award.
Karen works in Flexicare, our staffing agency, and was nominated by Lisa Flowers, our Registered Manager at Woodland, our care home in St Austell, where she often works.
"I would very much like to nominate Karen Best for a My Moments Award, as she is such a hard worker with a fabulous positive attitude, no matter what the shift might throw at her.
She also took the time, just before Christmas and during her own time, to take one of our residents shopping and for coffee - this made a huge difference to the resident and left her beaming for days.
Whenever we hold events of fundraising days at Woodland, regardless of whether Karen is on shift or not, she always takes the time to come in and get involved and show her support.
I think she is extremely deserving of this award and is an asset to Flexicare and our company."

Robert Black - Chief Executive of Cornwall Care, Lisa Flowers - Registered Manager of Woodland and Tania Williams, Flexicare Administrator/ Planner, presented Karen with a My Moments Award certificate, some flowers and a Next voucher to thank her for all her hard work.
