Penberthy receive donation from Newquay Lions
Posted by admin on October 15,2018We would like to extend our gratitude to Newquay Lions for their very generous donation of £500.
The presentation of the £500 cheque took place during our summer fair recently. Cream teas and a barbeque were enjoyed by all that attended and Samantha Collins, our registered peripatetic manager said that she and everyone at Penberthy were delighted to receive the donation. It means that more outings and activities can be arranged for our residents and their friends and relatives.
A number of our residents already attend a social lunch on Fridays held by the Lions Club so the club members are familiar with some of our lovely residents already especially as some of them lived and worked in the community before moving into Penberthy.
The Lions Club are planning to support Penberthy residents again very soon by helping to transport a number of ex-servicemen who reside at Penberthy to a Remembrance Day in the town in November.
