Residents enjoy activities at Headlands

We enjoy various activities and events, from celebrating special occasions and putting on seasonal activities, to taking trips out and connecting with our local communities. There is something for everyone to enjoy.

At Headlands, our residential home in Carbis Bay, we put on regular activities and events, from fun baking and craft making sessions to fundraisers such as barbeques and car washes, where we raise funds for our residents’ Amenities Fund.

The Amenities Fund helps us pay for things like activities, entertainment, craft materials, decorations and gifts for our residents.

We have enjoyed baking with our residents recently and going out into the local community. When the flowers started blooming, we brought our residents with us to choose what we would plant into our flowerbeds and some of them helped us to plant them as well.

At our car wash earlier this year, we washed around 15 cars and had a great turnout from our staff and families, raising nearly £100 for our residents. We had a wonderful time together, laughing and splashing the sponges around!

Putting on fun activities and interesting entertainment is an important part of the care that we provide at Headlands, which is why we fundraise as often as we can.
