The Salvation Army visit Woodland every month for a social gathering.
All are welcome to attend for prayers and music – some family members pop along too which is lovely. Residents seem to enjoy the visits – they have a chance to listen to hymns or even sing along with the all-important pianist who keeps everybody in time and also in tune!
When prayers and hymns are over, everybody has a much needed cup of tea and biscuits while having a chat. The time is very much enjoyed by the residents – so much so that they often wish it were longer.
