Trengrouse; 24 hours in the life of a person living with dementia

In the week commencing Monday 4 March, some of our lovely staff at Trengrouse have volunteered to live 24 hours as a resident who has dementia.

This is to help raise awareness of what it’s like to cope with the challenges of living with dementia and also to raise funds to help buy a Mobii ‘magic table’ for our residents.

Our volunteers will be given a character to play, for example: Ethel who has a hearing impediment, is immobile and requires assistance with all food and fluids.

Our staff are passionate about raising money for our residents so are willing to go the extra mile, and what better way than to put themselves in the shoes of a resident with dementia and experience life the way they do.
