Sue has only ever worked at Trevarna. She started off by working afternoon shifts but is now a night shift staff member. Sue is the auntie of our deputy and they both worked together when she first started on nights. Sue has continued to work regular night shifts and is a very reliable staff member - always picking up extra shifts. She has been a good role model to others taking new starters and others under
her wing.
She knows the client’s needs well and is always looking out for better care for each individual. She has seen the changes in Trevarna from when it was a nice residential home to where we are now looking after very complex clients with end of life dementia.
Sue requests annual leave every month on pay day as she has organised a ritual night staff breakfast where they all meet up together for breakfast after the shift has finished, she has done this for 15 years without fail.
Sue is very passionate about Trevarna and helps out with our fund raising days, she organises the night team to have a toiletries tombola stall every time and gives her time freely with another college. She also gets the support of her grandchildren on these events.
We would like to say she is a very valued member of the excellent night care team. She is part of Trevarna family and we respect her knowledge and skills to keep the night team together working well with each other. Thank you Sue.
