Art therapy at Trevern
Posted by admin on March 8,2019Residents at Trevern did some fabulous art sessions recently.
We created some gorgeous paintings and decoupage pieces and will be creating more art in the next few weeks. Our aim is to sell these at our summer fete to help raise funds to renovate the areas outside our home so that our residents can more easily go outside and enjoy the lovely sunshine (here’s hoping we have a lovely summer again!).
Decoupage is the art of decorating an object by gluing coloured paper cut-outs onto it in combination with special paint effects, gold leaf and other decorative elements. Commonly, an object like a small box or an item of furniture is covered by cut-outs from magazines or from purpose-manufactured papers. Information taken from Wikipedia.
