Postcards of Kindness at Trewartha

Trewartha have recently become involved with the great initiative Postcards of Kindness which was previously launched by Stacey Nott, Cedar Grange care home assistant last year.
Trewartha sent out a request to anyone going on holiday to send our residents a postcard from wherever they are in the world. We have received loads so far and have been blown away by the kindness of absolute strangers. Our residents have enjoyed reading them and are looking forward to receiving more. We have displayed the postcards we’ve received on two separate maps to show where in the world they have been sent from.
Thank you to everyone involved in this. We are so grateful and our residents really look forward to receiving them. It’s a great reminiscence exercise and has a really positive impact with the residents, especially those with dementia.
We are gradually introducing the same initiative across our other care homes so keep an eye out for upcoming news.
