The visit was organised by Mary Harvey and Mike Ferkin from CHAT Chy Lowen – a non-profit project dedicated to helping children and adults with a variety of issues, using Animal Assisted Intervention (AAI).
“All the residents had a lovely morning and really enjoyed their time petting and cuddling the very well-behaved unicorn in our lounge,” said Sue Aldridge, Manager at Penberthy. “It was a magical time that brought tears to the eyes of our staff and the families of the residents who attended.”
