The day trip involved a group of residents from Woodland supported by Cornwall Care staff and a team from Oomph, and included a tour of the Eden biomes and the chance to learn about the diverse range of plants from varying climates.
Woodland home manager Emma Kent said: “Having fun and making sure our residents can experience new things is a really important part of the care we provide and we had a fantastic day at Eden.
“We had great feedback from residents and staff and the Oomph! team really helped bring everything to life to create a very memorable day. It’s important that our residents can feel independent and enjoy a strong connection with our local community, and this trip was a great example of that.”
Oomph! arranges exercises and activities for older adults to enhance mental, physical and emotional wellbeing by helping people live life to the full. It works with care home teams to create wellbeing and activities programmes, and provides fully managed excursions.
