Eating Disorders Awareness Week 2017

Eating Disorders Awareness Week 2017

From Monday 27th February to Sunday 5th March, BEAT will be raising awareness of eating disorders in the UK.

Eating disorders are rarely talked about, yet these silent conditions are so prevalent across the UK and the world that being aware of them is incredibly important.

BEAT, the UK's eating disorder charity, has a vision to end the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders and are committed to raising awareness about these serious, life-threatening mental illnesses.

Eating Disorders Awareness Week is an international awareness event, fighting the myths and misunderstandings that surround eating disorders. It runs from Monday 27th February to Sunday 5th March 2017. This year, BEAT's activities will focus on early intervention, a key part of BEAT's work. The earlier someone can enter treatment for an eating disorder, the greater their chance of recovery is.
