Raising funds for Redannick

Leonie Glinksi, daughter of Karen – our Registered Manager at Redannick – will be doing something extraordinary to help raise funds for a ‘magic’ table for residents at Redannick to enjoy. Leonie has agreed to RUN up a mountain! She will be running 19km up The Matterhorn in the Swiss Alps on 24 August 2019.

The Matterhorn is mystical, majestic – the mountain of mountains. No one can escape its fascination. Leonie says ‘I’ll make this a positive thing – people can benefit from my pain. I thought the residents at Redannick could benefit. If enough money can be raised then a ‘magic’ table can be bought for them to enjoy and interact with. Even at the late stages in dementia, when sadly, all too commonly, people become despondent, less engaged and more isolated, even then they can benefit from this fabulous bit of technology.’ Click here to find out more about the ‘magic’ table: https://tovertafel.co.uk/care-innovation-dementia/
