Vera Lynn's 100th Birthday Celebration at Trengrouse

Join us in celebration of Dame Vera Lynn's 100th birthday! Her music played a big part to boost morale during the war and many of our residents remember her.

Listening to Vera Lynn's music and songs from the 1940s can be a great way of encouraging memory in our residents with dementia, bringing them back to the times when they were working together and savouring time with their families during the war.

 

Trengrouse, Helston
1pm - 4pm, Monday 20th March 2017

We will be enjoying a buffet lunch, optional dressing up and a Vera Lynn tribute singer to celebrate the 100th birthday of Dame Vera Lynn.

Trevern, Falmouth
2pm, Monday 20th March 2017

Join us for a vintage tea party at Trevern in celebration of Dame Vera Lynn's 100th birthday! We will be having tea, cakes, sandwiches and are encouraging our staff and attendees to wear fancy dress, with 1940s style hair and make-up. Kelly Carswell will be singing songs from the 1940s and that era.

We are kindly asking for £1 donations to go towards our residents' Amenities Fund, which pays for birthday gifts, activities and entertainment for our residents.
