Celebrating Dignity in Care at Woodland House

Celebrating Dignity in Care at Woodland House

Throughout the month of February, Woodland House will be celebrating Dignity in Care by holding various activities and events such as poetry writing and giving pamper sessions to our residents.

On 1 February it is the official Dignity in Action Day. We however will be holding an afternoon tea party for our residents on 11 February and helping to raise awareness of dignity and care in action throughout the whole month of February.

Entertainment will be by entertainers Sunny Side Up who are regulars at Cornwall Care. Our residents love the entertainment they provide and always look forward to hearing them perform. The tea party starts at 2pm and you are welcome to join us.

Dignity in Care is a campaign set up in November 2006. The aim was to put dignity and respect at the heart of UK care services. In support of this campaign, people from all walks of life sign up as Dignity Champions to help promote independence, well-being and quality of care and of life. The champions are also there to help empower people, make time to listen and aim to treat everyone as a unique individual. To find out more about this very worthwhile campaign, please click here.
