Halloween at St Breock

Posted by cornwallcare on November 2, 2018

Residents and staff at St Breock had a scrumptious time this Halloween.

Our home was decorated in scary décor and so were the staff! Our residents enjoyed making some tasty treats including strawberries dipped in chocolate and baked banana with Mars bars.

We had a great time eating all the goodies and enjoyed socialising with the other residents too.

The history of Halloween goes all the way back to a pagan festival called Samhain. The word Halloween comes from ‘all hallows’ eve’ and means hallowed evening. Hundreds of years ago, people dressed up as saints and went door to door, which is the origin of Halloween costumes and trick-or-treating.
